JUAN MARTINEZ is a freelance photographer residing in New York City. As an avid traveler, Juan also works in Los Angeles and Miami.
Born in Cali, Colombia, raised in Miami; Juan moved to the Big Apple in 2011 to pursue his passion for photography. During this time, Juan has had the privilege to work and assist in studios including MILK, Splashlight Studios, Jack Studios, and 27on28.
Under the direction of photographers such as Mani Zarrin, Jack Deutsch, Dunja Antic, Cheol Park, Ernesto Gonzalez, Pat Battellini, Juan has participated in commercial publications that include Sean John, Deleon, Jacob & Co., Avocados from Mexico, and Express.
Juan's knowledge includes fashion, books, portraits, headshots, wedding, and event photography. During his tenure as creative director at Love Child Studios, Juan expanded his interests into video production to include directing, editing, coloring, and producing.
In 2016, Juan shared his talents with middle school students in the Bronx during afterschool programs associated with Directions For Our Youth as a Photo and Video Production Instructor.

Currently, Juan is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development from the School of General Studies at Columbia University in the City of New York. He continues to travel the globe sharing his experiences through the camera lens and contributing to clients that include Hilton Hollis, Hearts Magazines, countless actors, musicians, artists, and models.
